How can I stop Spam Emails?

How can I stop Spam Emails?

When you first purchase your VMA hosting package, you will see "Mailscanner' application. This can be viewed by logging into your hosting 'cPanel' Control Panel.
Once you are into your cPanel you will see the 'Spam Assassin' icon in the mail section.

Once into the 'MailScanner Settings' you can view all your current settings:

You can choose to DELETE  High Spam scoring emails  where as Low Scoring spam emails will be sent to your spam folder.
Go to OTHER SETTINGS to change the default spam scoring default settings:

4 is default for low scoring spam so anything over 4 will go to the spam folder - higher is conservative while the lower score is harsh - but remember if you are too low it may be sending friendly emails to your spam folder so start with 4 and adjust to suit
12 is the default for high scoring spam so anything over 12 will be 'Auto Deleted' if set to delete.
You can further refine your settings by adding whitelisted domains  and emails OR blacklisting unwanted spamming domains - don't forget to save before you exit.

Other ways to minimise spam is to set up 'Account Level Filters' and follow the prompts there - see here for more details.
