Tips on Creating an Email Campaign or Template
Some tips to help you create a great newsletter.
- Type your heading rather than copy and paste
- Copying directly from word will bring in Word's dirty HTML so you are better off either type in your content or
- you can copy & paste the content BUT paste it into a text file first to remove the formatting then
- select the required area (leaving the full stop in as this will ensure you do not remove the template preformatted text) & paste into place
- Some shortcuts to speed up the process are:
- Ctrl A = select all
- Ctrl C = copy
- Ctrl V = paste
- Ctrl X = cut
- Ctrl Z = undo
- Ctrl Y = redo
- Remember to "undo" if you make a mistake - see arrows in top left of menu (or shortcut above)
- Remember to ‘save & continue' after each section will ensure you do not have to redo the entire newsletter if you make a mistake
