Tips on Creating an Email Campaign or Template

Some tips to help you create a great newsletter.

  • Type your heading rather than copy and paste
  • Copying directly from word will bring in Word's dirty HTML so you are better off either type in your content or
  • you can copy & paste the content BUT paste it into a text file first to remove the formatting then
  • select the required area (leaving the full stop in as this will ensure you do not remove the template preformatted text) & paste into place
  • Some shortcuts to speed up the process are:
    • Ctrl A = select all
    • Ctrl C = copy
    • Ctrl V = paste
    • Ctrl X = cut
    • Ctrl Z = undo
    • Ctrl Y = redo
  • Remember to "undo" if you make a mistake - see arrows in top left of menu (or shortcut above)
  • Remember to 'save & continue' after each section will ensure you do not have to redo the entire newsletter if you make a mistake
