What is the Difference between our WordPress Managed Hosting & Website Maintenance Packages?

Visual Marketing/VMA Hosting offer a number of options when it comes to hosting plus ensuring your website is up to date and running 24/7 so you can focus on your core business. With hosting, we are slowly migrating all customers over to our Managed WordPress Hosting services to ensure all sites are kept up to date and secure. Furthermore, we also offer a Website Management Package with the differences outlined below:

With a standard hosting package (self managed), you are responsible for keeping it up to date with the core software and the various plugins that run on your site to provide further functionality. Whereas our MHS includes your hosting account which your website &/or email is served from, plus we update all the plugins and core software & security for you.

Our Website Maintenance Packages go beyond the MHS and also include:
  • Periodic clearing the cache
  • Speed Enhancement to ensure quick loading in Google
  • Offsite Backup over and above the standard 14 day retention
  • Video Tutorials
  • Link Testing
  • Complimentary website updates (from 10-30 minutes depending on the package)
  • Complimentary phone support (from 10-30 minutes depending on the package)
  • Discounts on VMA marketing services
Do I need both?
Our answer is YES as they are 2 different things. While there may seem like some crossover, our Managed Hosting Services is an automated process whereas the Web Maintenance Packages are a manual process so we tend to see more issues and fix those as we go.
